We only do tomato seeds
The crop is mainly to investigate the comprehensive performance of the new combination under high temperature from different aspects, such as flowering and fruit setting ability, leaf and root disease resistance under high temperature, and fruit cracking resistance, fruit color transformation under high temperature, fruit performance in market, etc. First we selected outstanding varieties from our parks in terms of the above aspects, then plant them in different cities in China, in the end we put them into the whole market in China and other countries. In order to ensure all the varieties are qualified, sometimes we need to go through two or three cycles till promote them into market.
Currently climate changes rapidly with much higher temperature, which makes us to do more researches on tomato new varieties. This year we also focus on the variety selecting on tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and tomato brown rugose fruit virus (TOBRFV). Let’s have a look at the result in this late September, we are confident about the good results.
